District 1 JMK Women in Business Chair:
Lorraine Bartlett, Zonta Club of Concord NH USA
Because Zonta International believes in gender equality, the Jane M. Klausman (JMK) Women in Business Scholarship program helps women pursue undergraduate and master’s degrees in business management and overcome gender barriers from the classroom to the boardroom. Applicants can be women of any age, pursuing a business program with a major field of specialization,, and enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a master’s program. Online students can apply if enrolled at an accredited university/college/institute.
Each club is encouraged to solicit applications, offer a club award if possible (not required), and name a club Women in Business Winner. Clubs then forward their winners on to the Governor/District Chair – and a District winner is selected and forwarded to the Foundation for Women to compete for a $5000 cash award from the Zonta Foundation for Women.
